Madewell sent an email recently announcing their Harem Pants which are described as "slouchy, hip and totally wearable- they're the coolest shape of the season". The email also mentions that Madewell is now on Twitter (click here).First, I have seen pages devoted to Harem pants in several fashion magazines, including Marie Claire, and all I can think is "...why?!?" I think Harem Pants are universally unflattering. There is nothing beautiful about them either- it just looks like an adult diaper + pants gone wrong.
Second, I appreciate that Madewell is reaching out to their clients via Facebook and now Twitter. But how about a fully functioning e-commerce site (and not just the collaboration with ShopBop)? It feels like we have been waiting forever to shop Madewell's site online. ;)
